New Nelson ads unveiled

Orlando, FL — U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson’s re-election campaign has launched two new TV ads, one highlighting the poor job Rick Scott has done as governor, another that issues a call to Floridians to look beyond the rigid ideologies employed by politicians who seek to divide us.

The two 30-second spots began airing throughout Florida over the weekend.

One, titled “Speak,” details how the green algae crisis fouling Florida waters stems from Rick Scott’s failed environmental policies. The ad also cites media investigations into how Scott enriched himself in office – and how he hid it from the public.

The second spot, called “Strapped,” is a call for independence and non-partisanship on the part of political leaders and citizens.

“We’re all in this together. If we just remembered that, we’d get a lot more done,” Nelson says in the ad.

Strapped

I look back at Earth. I didn’t see religious divisions. I didn’t see political divisions. I didn’t see racial divisions.

What I saw is, we’re all in this together. If we just remembered that, we’d get a lot more done.
